About this pin
This is a pin in 65Mn Spring Steel, supplied white zinc plated, with an M2 thread and a 35 mm length. Every dimension is stated against the standard named above; where a tolerance class matters to your design, ask us and we will confirm it in writing before you order.
A pin is a positive locator: it carries shear rather than clamp load, so it holds two parts in exact alignment instead of pressing them together. Used to locate and hinge components on machinery, linkages, hinges and tooling where a bolt would be the wrong kind of load path.
65Mn is a manganese spring steel used for spring washers, retaining rings and clips, where the part must stay elastic rather than rigid.
