About this DIN 912 screw

This is a screw made to DIN 912, in PA66 Nylon, at strength class PA66, supplied white, with an M8 thread and a 10 mm length. Every dimension is stated against the standard named above; where a tolerance class matters to your design, ask us and we will confirm it in writing before you order.

A screw threads directly into the parent material or into a nut, so the thread form, the point and the drive decide what it can be used for. Commonly used on machinery, tooling, appliances, electrical enclosures, furniture and automotive assemblies where the head has to sit low or be driven from one side only.

PA66 nylon is a strong, abrasion-resistant engineering polymer used for light-duty nuts, washers and cable hardware. Electrically insulating and non-marking, but it absorbs moisture and softens above about 100 °C.

A coloured finish, in most cases a dyed passivate over a zinc layer or a dyed organic film. Appearance plus light corrosion protection.
