About this DIN 908 fitting

This is a fitting made to DIN 908, in 304 Stainless Steel, at strength class A2-70, supplied plain, with an M18 thread. Every dimension is stated against the standard named above; where a tolerance class matters to your design, ask us and we will confirm it in writing before you order.

General-purpose hardware that completes a fastening job rather than carrying the load itself. Used in furniture, rigging, cable management and general assembly work alongside the fasteners on this store.

Plain (self-colour) means no coating. On 304 and 316 stainless that is fine — the alloy passivates on its own. On carbon steel it will rust, so choose a coated option instead.

A2-70 is 304 stainless, cold worked to a 700 MPa minimum tensile and 450 MPa 0.2% proof stress. It is the default stainless grade for general purpose bolts and screws.
