About this DIN 912 screw

This is a screw made to DIN 912, in PA66 Nylon, at strength class PA66, supplied white, with an M4 thread and a 30 mm length. Every dimension is stated against the standard named above; where a tolerance class matters to your design, ask us and we will confirm it in writing before you order.

A screw threads directly into the parent material or into a nut, so the thread form, the point and the drive decide what it can be used for. Commonly used on machinery, tooling, appliances, electrical enclosures, furniture and automotive assemblies where the head has to sit low or be driven from one side only.

DIN 912 is the same part as ISO ISO 4762, GB/T GB/T 70.1, GOST GOST R ISO 4762. Check the head geometry, the key size and the tolerances before substituting one for another — those do differ between systems.

M4 is a metric thread with an 4 mm nominal diameter and a coarse pitch of 0.7 mm (ISO 261). A standard hex head takes a 7 mm spanner across the flats.
