About this GB 93 washer

This is a washer made to GB 93, in 667 Steel, at strength class A2-70, supplied plain, with an M16 thread. Every dimension is stated against the standard named above; where a tolerance class matters to your design, ask us and we will confirm it in writing before you order.

A washer spreads the clamp load of the fastener over a wider area of the joint face and keeps the turning nut or head from scoring the part underneath. Fitted under bolts, screws and nuts on soft or painted surfaces, slotted holes, and any joint that is taken apart often enough for the face to matter.

A2-70 is 304 stainless, cold worked to a 700 MPa minimum tensile and 450 MPa 0.2% proof stress. It is the default stainless grade for general purpose bolts and screws.

M16 is a metric thread with an 16 mm nominal diameter and a coarse pitch of 2 mm (ISO 261). A standard hex head takes a 24 mm spanner across the flats.
